Lutheran Family Services has called to see if we are still interested in their infant adoption program!!! We will get a call next week to schedule our interview again! I'm torn..our adoption fund is running waaaaay low and we planned on buying a house this spring. I don't think we can do both. Obviously the baby comes first but I won't be devistated if we get pushed back to the Spring enrollment. On the other hand, I won't be devistated if we don't buy a house for another year or two.
So... basically, I'm saying that I'm at peace with the whole thing? Yeah. I'm confused too. :)
Our journey through life takes many turns. Some heart breaking, some hilarious, and most we never expect. We have left the adoption world childless but not for trying and are putting children on the back burner to explore the deep recesses of our hearts in a quest to live a life that is as big and crazy as we are. Are you buckled up? Good because it is a bumpy journey, alright!

Our New Nest!!
So Aunt Jessi, Lexi-Lou-Lou and I were headed to Target last night and made a pit stop at the new apartment. I figured if the previous tennants were still moving out, they wouldn't mind letting me in to take a peek at my new home. Unfortunately, the previous tennants had already vacated the apartment. What's a uber curious girl gonna do in that situation? Knock three times and then turn the handle. Yes, people...I trespassed into the new apartment.
While I had hoped it would be a bit bigger and the washer and dryer would be newer, I'm very satisfied with the new apartment. (Pictures will be up later!! :))
Pros:
Built in book case, fire place (I can already see the stockings hung with care), breakfast bar, HUGE bathtub, 2 bathrooms, LARGE porch, side by side fridge and a 2 bedroom "suite" for Popop K.
Cons:
Oddly angled, small living room that doubles as the dining room, older washer/dryer than what we currently have, smallish bedrooms (we come from a HUGE one bedroom).
Over-all, I think it will serve it's purpose well. I don't think that Dad's living room set will fit in the living room. Did someone say "SHOPPING"?! :) I think I might be getting the sectional I want after all!
